About The Wilson Reading System (WRS)
Specifically designed for students with reading and other language-based disorders such as dyslexia, WRS is an intensive, structured, multisensory program for students who have been unable to learn to read and spell with other teaching strategies. WRS is the flagship program of Wilson Language Training and the foundation of all other Wilson programs.

Wilson® Asynchronous Introductory Course
This 16.5-hour Self-Paced Wilson Reading System Introductory Course provides participants with an overview of the Wilson Reading System (WRS) and serves as the prerequisite for
WRS Level I Certification Training.

Melissa Wiegand
M.Ed., CALT, C-SLDS, WDT, WCT
Melissa is a Wilson Dyslexia Therapist, Credentialed Trainer, Certified Academic Language Therapist (CALT), and a Structured Literacy Dyslexia Specialist who has been transforming student lives at JGS since 2014.
During the 2025–2026 school year, JGS is proud to be training Sheridan Geller, M.Ed., to join Melissa Wiegand as a Wilson® Credentialed Trainer—further expanding our capacity to deliver high-quality, research-based reading instruction and educator training.
