Welcome all visitors. We are so excited to share with you a completely revamped and updated website going into the 2024-2025 school year. In 2023, The Jones-Gordon School’s website was visibly struggling with performance. It was our aim to improve the overall performance of the website, update the look & feel, as well as, maintain familiarity with our former website. With a dedicated staff member working on the website daily, we will continue to keep our content frequently updated and relevant to our community’s experience here at the school.
We have a handful of new features to share with you and we invite you to explore, read, and catch up on all the latest happenings here at The Jones-Gordon School.
Interactivity
Motion is life. If you’ve been on our campus, we are constantly in motion. Our kids are curious and love to explore and we want this website to feel relevant to our students, as well as our parents.
You will find dozens of new icons, text, graphics, and banners that help capture the interactivity our students have come to expect. Simply hovering your mouse over many of the graphics will produce motion and interactivity for our visitors.

Our quick links menu has been highly mobile optimized and friendly for students to navigate to MyJGS , the School Calendar, and Admissions as well as, our ancillary programs such as Professional Development, Tutoring, and Giving services.

“The Spotlight” is a new designation for our website. It will feature the most important content and happenings at the school including, blogs, events, and registrations. This represents another way for us to communicate directly to our audience and procure important information for our students, parents, faculty, and inquiring minds.

Accessibility
Accessibility to this website is very important to us. We have began the process of improving this website’s content and meta data to help promote website accessibility and meet Web Accessibility Content Guidelines (WCAG) for those that qualify with those sensitive disabilities. We have remade several graphics that appeared on our old website that were unreadable by most screen-reading technology and have updated our media content to provide alternate descriptions and captions for those who need interpretation.
This change is not an easy fix or implementation, but we have made an entire mindset shift that we can continue to keep improving on this every time we create new content for this website as well as, keep improving on the content that we currently have.
