FOUNDER & HEAD OF SCHOOL

With JGS since the beginning.

Dana, the visionary behind The Jones-Gordon School (JGS), founded the institution in 2010, following the establishment of On-Track Tutoring in 1999. With over 20 years of experience in the education field, Dana has made a significant impact in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area, particularly in supporting students with learning differences, ADHD, and executive functioning challenges.

Dana earned both an undergraduate degree in Special Education and a master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis on Gifted Education from ASU, graduating summa cum laude in both programs. This strong academic foundation laid the groundwork for a distinguished career dedicated to enhancing educational opportunities for students with diverse needs.

In 1999, Dana founded On-Track Tutoring with the mission to provide high-quality educational services to children of all abilities, inspired by the support Dana received growing up with a learning difference. Throughout her early career, Dana worked as an educational consultant, assisting schools in planning for students with learning differences and guiding families in finding the right educational fit for their children.

Recognizing the growing need for a nurturing and supportive college-preparatory environment for high-potential children facing attention and learning challenges, Dana established JGS. Today, the school serves approximately 160 students in grades 1-12, fulfilling Dana’s vision of creating an inclusive and effective learning community.
