The Jones-Gordon School (JGS) is a one-of-a-kind, independent private school located in Paradise Valley, AZ.
Founded in 2010 to fill the need for an educational environment dedicated to capable students who learn differently, JGS built its reputation by employing outstanding educators and using state-of-the-art, research-validated curricula.
We cultivate the strengths of high-potential students in grades 1-12 across the Phoenix metropolitan area who have dyslexia and related learning differences. We provide a targeted, progressive education that empowers students and enables them to thrive – in and out of the classroom. We are currently seeking a creative and driven Marketing Specialist to join our team and help us communicate our mission and impact to our community and beyond.
Position Overview
As a Marketing Specialist, you will be responsible for creating, managing, and optimizing content across various platforms to enhance the school’s online presence, drive enrollment, build brand awareness, and engage our community. This role requires a skilled communicator with strong writing and editing abilities, a keen eye for visual storytelling, and a passion for education.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute marketing strategies and campaigns that align with the school’s goals and mission.
- Write and create high-quality content for the school’s website, blog, newsletters, social media, and other marketing materials.
- Collaborate with faculty, staff, and administration to gather stories and insights that highlight school achievements, student success, and community involvement.
- Manage the school’s social media platforms, creating engaging posts, stories, and visual content to build community engagement.
- Create and distribute email marketing campaigns that inform and engage current and prospective families
- Monitor and analyze the performance of digital marketing campaigns, providing regular reports and insights to inform future strategies.
- Collaborate with the admissions and development teams to create content that supports enrollment and fundraising efforts, including brochures, landing pages, and advertisements.
- Monitor content performance and provide regular reports on engagement, conversions, and other key metrics.
- Work with external vendors, photographers, and videographers to produce high-quality multimedia content, as needed.
- Ensure all content aligns with the school’s branding and voice guidelines.
- Stay up-to-date with trends in content marketing, education, and digital communication to keep our strategies fresh and effective.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field.
- Proven experience in content creation, marketing, or communications.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills with the ability to tailor content to different audiences.
- Experience managing social media accounts and creating social content.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Graphic design skills and familiarity with design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite).
- Knowledge of SEO best practices and analytics tools is preferred.
- Passion for education and community building is a strong advantage.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
- Must be able to traverse school facilities and lead students to safety in the event of an emergency.
