Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and innovative Curriculum and Instruction Director to lead our upper-division academic programs for grades 6-12. This position is ideal for an individual passionate about enhancing student learning and fostering a culture of academic excellence. Responsibilities:

  • Curriculum Development: Design, implement, and evaluate curriculum frameworks that align with the school’s mission and educational standards for grades 6-12.
  • Instructional Leadership: Provide guidance and support to faculty in effective teaching strategies, assessment methods, and differentiated instruction.
  • Professional Development: Organize and lead ongoing professional development workshops and training sessions for faculty to enhance instructional practices.
  • Collaboration: Work with division directors and faculty to promote interdisciplinary learning and innovative teaching practices
  • Assessment and Evaluation: Develop and implement assessment practices to monitor student progress and inform instructional decisions.
  • Community Engagement: Foster relationships with parents and the broader community to support educational initiatives and enhance student learning experiences.
  • Strategic Planning: Contribute to the school’s strategic planning process related to curriculum and instruction, ensuring alignment with the school’s mission, values, and goals.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Education, Curriculum and Instruction, or a related field; Minimum of 3 years of experience in curriculum development and instructional leadership, preferably in a private school setting.
  • Proven track record of improving student outcomes through innovative curriculum design and instructional practices.
  • Strong understanding of current educational trends, research-based practices, and assessment strategies.
  • Exceptional communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
  • Passion for education and a commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive school culture.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
    • Must be able to traverse school facilities and lead students to safety in the event of an emergency.
