Director of Highschool and Outreach
With JGS since 2012
Samantha DePalo is a ten-year JGS veteran with experience in various roles, including teaching, administration, and outreach. Having earned her Bachelor’s degrees in Linguistics and English Literature from Barrett Honors College at Arizona State University, she was awarded a Fulbright scholarship to teach at a university in Mexico City. Upon her return to the U.S., she became a Teach For America corps member and taught math at a large public high school in the west valley where she was twice recognized as a Teacher of Distinction for achieving the highest student growth in the district. After graduating with her Master’s of Secondary Education from ASU, she joined JGS where her experience and expertise has continued to grow. In 2021, she earned a postgraduate certificate from Landmark College in Neurodiversity with a specialization in Executive Function, which supports the work she does with students every day. She is also the proud “mother” of the school therapy dog, Dobby, whose unique smile can be seen all around campus most days of the week.
