As one of only eight private schools across the country currently awarded this honor, this status affirms that we have been reviewed by Wilson Language Training (WLT) and have met WLT’s rigorous standards of excellence in the delivery of training and implementation of Wilson® professional learning and business practices.
Wilson® Accredited Partners understand the importance of proper implementation and share the organization’s commitment to conducting workshops/courses and certification training for each Wilson program with fidelity. As an Accredited Partner, JGS is now authorized to offer professional learning for Wilson’s programs.
In addition, Jones-Gordon FLEX Teacher & Wilson® Program Director, Melissa Wiegand, M.Ed., recently earned her certification as a Wilson® Credentialed Trainer! Melissa is also a Wilson® Level II Reading Specialist, Certified Academic Language Therapist (CALT), and an International Dyslexia Association (IDA) Certified Dyslexia Therapist. JGS students have been benefitting from her expertise since she joined the Jones-Gordon team in 2014. A big fan of the musical Wicked, her favorite lyrics, “I think I’ll try defying gravity, and you can’t pull me down!” speak volumes about Melissa’s character as a role model. She empowers JGS students to “defy gravity” every day!

For almost three decades, Wilson® has been dedicated to “Literacy for All.” Teacher knowledge and skill mastery is at the core of their mission; thus Wilson Language Training® (WLT) empowers individual educators, schools, and districts to achieve literacy with all students in their care.
Initially, WLT’s work focused on the education of teachers who were working with individuals with dyslexia. The Wilson Reading System® (WRS), and the professional learning certifications associated with it, were developed and established in the 1980s. That work continues today as they help schools and districts develop their own capacity to successfully educate their students with dyslexia.
