Entering her 3rd year as a member of the administration team, Emily Hsu continues to develop her critical role as the College and Career Counselor for The Jones-Gordon, bringing with her a wealth of experience after working at Barrett, The Honors College at ASU for 12 years. During that tenure, Emily worked in admissions and recruitment, developed a bridge program and a leadership program, taught various courses, and advised student organizations. Additionally, Emily has taught major and career exploration to college freshmen, further fueling her passion for guiding students toward their goals. A lifelong learner herself, Emily holds a BAE in Elementary Education, a BA in English with a focus on linguistics, a Master’s in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages, and a Master of Science in User Experience. Having faced her own challenges in education, she is deeply committed to making school accessible and welcoming for all learners, ensuring that every student has the opportunity to succeed.
