The goal of our growing athletics program is simple: to provide a safe environment in which students of varying athletic ability can enjoy participating in team sports during the academic year.
Competitive Team Sports (grades 3+)
JGS Lower, Middle, and High School students have the opportunity to participate on co-ed teams through United Spirit League (USL), grades 3-8, and Canyon Athletics Association (CAA), grades 7-12.
Younger student-athletes learn and improve fundamental skills and develop the positive attitude required to play at a more competitive level. Student-athletes learn the importance of teamwork, dedication, fitness, and sportsmanship. The success of the program is not defined by its record, but by the individual and team improvements over the course of the season.
High School participants are expected to strive for excellence during and in-between seasons. Our coaches instruct, inspire, and prepare our student-athletes so they may demonstrate their best ability and accept any outcome with maturity and grace. We expect student-athletes to remain committed for the entire season; to be on time, prepared, and focused during practices and games; and to maintain a positive attitude towards teammates and coaches.

Intramurals (all grades)
All interested JGS students are invited to join various non-competitive athletics and fitness clubs offered throughout the school year. This year, students have taken part in cheer, running club, kids Track, volleyball, and athletic games club.
